Jim is the son of our President, Jimmy Robinson, and the grandson of the late Gus Robinson. Having grown up in the insurance industry, Jim spent his summers working at Robinson & Stith Insurance while attending N.C. State University. He earned the CLCS (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist) designation after attending the Hartford School of Insurance. In 2018, Jim was honored as a ‘Young Gun’ by Insurance Business America Magazine, which recognized 54 insurance professionals nationwide under the age of 35.

A 2010 graduate of New Bern High School, Jim received his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from N.C. State University’s Poole College of Management in May 2014.

At Robinson & Stith Insurance, Jim is involved in all facets of the business and assists in every phase of agency operations.
